Knitting
I would love to say that I have been so absorbed in craft projects that I haven’t had time to post but that is just not the case. I have not had the desire in the past month or so to post or craft. I have started a couple of knitting projects but they haven’t been picked up as often as I would have liked and I have no reason for this.
The first of these projects are the Bacchus Socks from the Fall issue of Interweave knits. After a long struggle with the Turkish Cast On I got started on these about a month ago and had good intenstions to take them with me to Wellington to work on, but although they were in my bag, i didn’t touch them, expect for untangleing the yarn from the bags zip.
The second project is a simple little rib hat for a friends baby, this is taking so much longer than I ever would have thought, I am starting to wonder if I have lost my knitting mojo.

I’d like to introduces..
Untitled, the crazy bunny. This little softie was made by TP for my birthday. She knows me so well, telling Nana that “Mummy will like it because I made it” nothing could be more true, handmade gifts are the best in my option. Which is why I think I was double lucky this birthday as Besty also make me a handmade gift.

Parliament Grounds
I have been trying to post about our trip to Wellington , but the words are just not coming at the moment so I’ll just share some of the photos I took on our last day.
This has highlighted that I don’t know much about the NZ parliaments buildings or grounds, I think I might have to do something about that.

To Market
These are some photos I took last year when Bestie and myself ventured out to the Avondale Markets to take some photos. I had lost the memory card before uploading them but I have just found it in an old bag.
All the knitted items in following photos are all made by the same little old lady that knits to “keep her out of trouble”.

To Be Frogged
I have given it a good go and although I love the patten, the yarn is not doing it any justice so tonight I will frog this. I think the blue is the right choice but the green would need to be more solid to work so I will hang on to the blue and when budget allows get some black. With the green I will make either myself or Lossy some socks.

Hooded Scarf Finished
All the ends are tucked in and I really love the way the hood sits. Thinking of making just another hood in lue of a beanie for winter. There are a few mistakes in it but I’m not going to point them out so you will never know. The yarn is really soft and has been nice to work with.
I have now started the winter twilight mitts from the Fall issue of Interweave knits, and although this is my first attempted at stranded knitting it seems to be going ok.
