The receptionist at work is pregnant and I want to make her something for the baby, even if she has lots of releatives that already have items on the needles for her. I figure I’ll just make something small so I gave the Saartje Booties are go, they are the 6th most popular pattern on Ravelry, so they must be good.
I pulled out the left over Opal sock yarn from my first pair of socks and got underway. I thought the new-born size would suite and picked out 3.25 mm needles as I knew they would give me the correct gauge. Away I went and they were quick to knit, however once finished the first one did not look like it was going anywear near a childs foot, so TP gifted it to Star, now I have to make 3 more for Star and get back to the drawing board for the baby.
